2HQ have been providing expert engineering services to the O’Reilly Avenue Residents Association in relation to the development of the new National Paediatric Hospital.
Our initial involvement dates back to 2017 when we assisted in the assessment of the properties; investigation and reporting on causes of damage; preparation of repair specifications; negotiations with the hospital’s technical teams; attendance at mediation. Recently we have been retained as expert advisors in relation to the repair works contract.
The repairs include underpinning using resin injection ground improvement techniques to stabilise the ground and foundations. Some parts of the properties are being rebuilt and other parts are having cracks and other damage repaired.
