Leixlip Water Treatment Plant

2HQ were commissioned by Ervia, now Irish Water, to carry out a review of the weathering of existing building roofs at the Leixlip Water Treatment Plant, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The initial stages involved inspection and assessment of the existing roofs in relation longevity / design risks / H&S, etc. Further to this initial report assessment stage, 2HQ development the client requirements / brief, including related costs documentation to facilitate investment decision by Irish Water.

Following this initial stage, 2HQ were instructed to prepare a full set of tender documentation for the refurbishment of over 4,500 m.sq. of existing roofs. A particular challenging element, was the requirement for the works to take place in a safe manner while the water treatment plant remained in full operation, including when works extended next to and over water filtration ponds, etc.

Our services included full design of the works, PSDP and preparation of necessary tender documentations, including related pricing documentation and in all situations acting as the single point of contact for the client.
