2HQ were initially engaged by the insurer of the Columban Sisters to investigate the report of certain defects to a recently completed nursing home building.

We investigated the building for defects; reviewed the technical adequacy of construction drawings/specifications; met with the builder and architect responsible for the development and prepared an expert report.

The client decided to proceed with the necessary repairs to mitigate their losses. 2HQ provided a range of services in relation to the repair project which included project management; structural engineering; procurement & tendering; contract administration; and PSDP. The repairs included re-roofing of the entire building; replacement of zinc cladding; fire safety repairs; and replacement of glazing.

We then provided expert engineering services in the subsequent mediation between the parties.
