2HQ were engaged on this high specification residential extension and refurbishment project to provide civil and structural engineering services

A challenging aspect of the project was the alteration of the existing house. The inside of the house was completely re-arranged, requiring a new steel frame internally to support the retained brickwork chimney. We worked closely with the Conservation Architect to ensure that the engineering interventions were appropriate for this old structure.

The project included structural repairs to the existing house, underpinning, timber repairs, drainage design, SUDS, flood risk assessment.
