2HQ has been involved in this exciting new residential development since 2019 and the next phase is underway! The initial phases of the apartment building, basement carpark and new housing is substantially complete. This new phase of the development comprises the refurbishment and extension of the stable buildings to provide further new residential accommodation. The stables are attached the Thornhill House, which is a Protected Structure. 2HQ are working closely with the project architect and conservation advisor to ensure that structural interventions and extensions to these Protected Structures maintain their historic character and integrity. A new steel frame is being provided within the existing buildings to allow for additional floors overhead, without increasing loading on the old stone and brick walls. Construction has just commenced with completion expected in Q4 2024.
